Fair trade certified, GOTS organic certified, color-grown worsted-weight cotton from Peru.  "Color-grown"  means that the different colors are natural to the plant they are harvested from, rather than dyed in later.  This cotton is suitable for knitting, crocheting, and as a weft in weaving.   It can be hand or machine washed (gentle cycle, dry flat). 

Color grown cotton colors intensify with an initial warm water wash; however, expect some shrinkage (about 10%) with that first wash.  The colors won't bleed. For knitters, the gauge is 20 st/4 inches on 4.5 mm (US 7) needles. These are 50 gram (1.75 oz) hanks, of approximately 81m (88 yards).

We highly recommend swatch construction and finishing before undertaking a project.
